Russia is probably targeting Ukraine’s communication infrastructure to reduce access to reliable news sources, Britain’s Ministry of Defence said on Monday 7 march

Russia is most likely attacking Ukraine's communications infrastructure in order to limit Ukrainian citizens' access to credible news and information, according to a Monday intelligence update from the Ministry of Defense.

According to Ukrainian officials, a Russian attack on Sunday damaged the TV tower in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.

At least five people were killed earlier this week in a suspected rocket attack on Kiev's TV tower.

"As a result of collateral damage from Russian infrastructure strikes, Ukrainian internet connection is quite likely to be affected."

"Internet problems have been recorded in Mariupol, Sumy, Kyiv, and Kharkiv throughout the last week," the Ministry of Defense said.
