Jaruma imprisoned by Regina Daniels' husband for alleged offence

Following a plea by Regina Daniel and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, popular Kayanmata merchant Hauwa Muhammed also known as Jaruma has been kept in prison detention due to alleged false publication she made on her Instagram page.

According to reports, after being arrested by the police for suspected false news publication, intimidation, and defamation of character, Jaruma was remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre by an Abuja Upper Area Court.

She also pleaded not guilty and her lawyer submitted an oral bail application, according to reports.

The hearing was adjourned till Friday, January 28 by Area court judge Ismailia Abdullahi, who remanded the Kayamata trader in custody.

The date for the resumption of the trial has also been set by Justice Abdullahi for February 23, 2022.

On the orders of Ned Nwoko, Jaruma was detained on January 21, 2022, after she claimed Regina used her products to 'get' Ned Nwoko, which made him divorce his Morrocan wife, a claim the latter denied.
