JAMB Releases Date For UTME and DE Registration, Examination and Application Form Feb 12

Registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry (UTME/DE) will begin on February 12 and run until March 19, 2022, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

JAMB has now added 'Computer Studies' and 'Physical and Health Education' to the 23 UTME subjects already offered, bringing the total number of new UTME subjects to 25.

Candidates can now choose any other two courses as part of their four UTME subjects if they so wish or as stipulated by their program preferences, according to the testing authority.

NABTEB A Levels are rejected.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Ahmed, JAMB's director of admissions, has written to university vice-chancellors requesting that A-Level results from the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) be rejected.

According to Mr. Ahmed, NABTEB is unable to conduct advanced level examinations due to applicable government rules.

"Any A/L GCE Certificate issued by NABTEB is, therefore, not registrable with JAMB, and the Board will not process the admission of any candidate with such a result," Mr Ahmed said in the Board's most recent weekly bulletin, which was released on Monday.
